Launch Party (Saskatoon)

Stop by Design Week HQ to be first to see all the entries for the Premier’s Awards of Excellence and place your vote for the “People’s Choice Award.” While you’re there have an hors d'oeuvre, a drink or two and listen to opening remarks from the Design Council of Saskatchewan.

Premier’s Awards of Excellence in Design Entries Exhibit (Saskatoon)

Stop by and view all of the entries into the Premier’s Awards of Excellence in Design competition and place your vote for the “People’s Choice Award.”

Stanley Sun Lunch & Learn
(Regina)

Stanley is a Partner at Mason Studio, an interior design firm located in Toronto that finds a unique approach to combining several elements of art, objects, graphics and technology into each of their projects. He has an interest in the science of place and the effect of environmental change on human physiological response. Stanley is formally trained in spatial design, fine arts and biological sciences from academic institutes from across Canada and Asia, and currently teaches at Ryerson University School of Interior Design. He has worked for respected firms in North America, Europe and South East Asia.

Deirdre Harris Evening Lecture (Saskatoon)

Deirdre Harris is a Senior Associate at DNCA Architects in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Deirdre is a registered architect and holds degrees in both architecture and landscape architecture and therefore has a unique perspective towards working within each field. She has practiced in both fields for over 25 years, working on a wide range of projects in Canada, California, and New Mexico.

Jason Thorne Lunch & Learn (Regina)

Jason Thorne is a professional planner who leads the Planning and Economic Development Department at the City of Hamilton, Canada. He has worked on large regional planning initiatives like the Growth Plan and Metrolinx’s Big Move, on municipal scale land use and sustainability plans, as well as on rural development plans in West Africa and squatter housing upgrades in South America.

Robin Mazumder is a Vanier Scholar and doctoral candidate in cognitive neuroscience at the University of Waterloo, where he is studying the psychological impacts of urban design.

Jason Kasper is the founder and Principal of IDEATE Design Consulting Inc. in Winnipeg. The company began in 2002 with the mandate to create innovative design solutions attainable to as many as possible. Since then, the firm has gone on to work with a diverse range of clients on many successful projects.

Canadian Light Source Tour & Lunch (Saskatoon)
